All German wob-laws gathered

Germany has various freedom of information acts, currently (July 2007) a federal law is in force aswell as eight laws in the provinces, the so-called Länder.

Also the European Union directive on access to environmental information has in been implemented in Germany on the federal level as well as in all of the provinces besides Saarland (July 07).

In Germany it is usual to request fees for access applications, and the regulation of the fees follows the law in each Land.

April 2007, S. 834; die saarländische Gebührenordnung folgt der Regelung beim Bundes-IFG, Abweichung vom Bund: Kosten für Kopien können im Saarland in tatsächlicher Höhe als besondere Auslagen erhoben werden.

Fees: Currently no free on-line access to the regulation on fees, Official Journal of the Saarland of April 12th, 2007, page 834, the Saarland fees follow the federal regulation. Differing from the federal rules: Costs for copies in the Saarland can be fully charged.

Umweltinformationsgesetz: noch nicht verabschiedet; Stand des Gesetzentwurfs vom 19.4.2007. Solange es kein eigenes Umweltinformationsgesetz gibt, gilt die EU-Umweltinformationsrichtlinie unmittelbar.
